Since 2015 Mr. Leventakis has substantially contributed to the further development of the EUNWA and now we are proud that he has accepted to take up the position as Vice-President -Policy and Innovation Advisor. He will provide support to EUNWA in the areas of scientific innovation and policy in order to expand our community based on a well-defined duty.
On November 17, 2018, the "Urban Security: national and international neighborhood watch networks” convention took place in Venice at the Mestre Novotel.
On December 5th and 6th, 2018, a conference organized by the European Crime Prevention Network (EUCPN), on “Best Practice in Community Policing in Europe”, was held at the "Austria Center" in Vienna. During the conference, which took place in the context of the activities of the Austrian semester of Presidency of EU Council, 20 projects were submitted by the representatives of the countries participating to the network, related to the application of the community policing in their communities.
With pleasure we announce the appointment of Roberta Bravi as new board member for the EUNWA.
Roberta Bravi, from Italy, 34 years old, lawyer, has been taking care about security, legality, voluntary work and participation for over 15 years. After the Higher Degree in Law she obtained a Master in International Law in armed conflicts at the C.O.A. (Air Operations Centre) on its base in Poggio Renatico (FE).
The Vice–President of EUNWA Dr. Georgios Leventakis (Policy and Innovation Advisor) participated at the 2018 Security Research Event (SRE 2018), which jointly organized by the European Commission and the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology. The event took place on 5th and 6th of December in Brussels at the Square Meeting Centre1.
